Montvale Event Center Wedding
This Montvale Event Center wedding was truly one for the books. With this venue’s multiple ballrooms and hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, grand mirrors and chandeliers, this venue oozes modern vintage vibes. It was the perfect backdrop for Dyllin and Taylor’s beautiful wedding day.
It was an absolute privilege to capture a love like theirs. These two are some of the most resilient humans I’ve ever met, and they both have hearts of gold.

One of my favorite parts of any wedding day is the first look with the bride and groom. Having a first look means a few things. One, you are able to spend more time with your spouse on the biggest day of your lives together, rather than wait for the ceremony. Two, you get some of those pre-wedding butterflies out of your system before you walk down the aisle. And three, you get an incredible memory attached to this specific part of your wedding and are able to spend a few minutes alone. I could go on and on about more reasons why a first look is encouraged on a wedding day, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
The Montvale Event Center offers a few different spaces for photos for your wedding day, and we were sure to take advantage of all of these beautiful areas.
While I was working with Dyllin and Taylor to prepare for their wedding day, both of Taylor’s parents unexpectedly passed, along with Dyllin’s brother. There were a few different ways that they were commemorated for such an important event for their family. Along with these three, Dyllin’s late grandfather was also included to be remembered.
These two really let me run with creativity, and I couldn’t be more grateful to them for that. I feel that we were able to create some really fun images together and they trusted me 100% to capture the feeling of the moments of the day. All of their stunning florals were done by Daisies in May here in Spokane.
Do you and your future spouse have pets that you absolutely adore (or maybe even run your house?) You can totally include them for your big day, even if it’s just snagging a couple photos with them!
Dyllin and Taylor have an awesome support system among their closest friends. And the fact that the groom Taylor had his best woman, Taylor, and groomsman, Taylor, actually wasn’t as confusing as it might sound. 😉
For the ceremony, Taylor used a scarf that belonged to his mother to represent her walking down the aisle with him. Once he reached the alter, he placed the scarf in her reserved seat in the front row. I don’t think there was a dry eye from any of the guests.
Dyllin and Taylor shared sweet vows and celebrated together while walking back up the aisle.
After the ceremony concluded, we headed up to the rooftop of the Montvale Event Center for golden hour. Dyllin and Taylor were able to sign their marriage license with their witnesses, and celebrate their first few moments as husband and wife.
Something I had never seen done before for a wedding reception was using album covers that the bride and groom love as a seat assignment chart. This was such a unique idea and all of their guests were big fans too!
Along with this seating chart, these two used vinyl records of their first dance song for their guest book. These details really show their shared love for music.
Of course my favorite peeps over at Electric Photoland made an appearance with a photobooth for all of the guests to enjoy.
There was no shortage of sweet moments throughout the night. Dyllin and Taylor shared their first dance to being the festivities.
Following up the first dance was the father/daughter dance and the mother/son dance. Taylor was able to share his mother son dance with his new mother-in-law. Again, there were no dry eyes to be seen.
This wedding reception had multiple heartfelt speeches, including speeches from the best woman, the matron of honor, and the father of the bride.
The best part of the evening had to be when everyone joined the dance floor. Here are three fun facts about that:
Make sure to listen to that song while you’re checking out these dancing photos to immerse yourself in the viewing experience.
All in all, this Montvale Event Center wedding was a perfect day for an incredible couple. To me, there is no greater honor than to capture someone’s love story.
