Romantic Wedding at the Montvale Event Center

Adam and Samantha planned their beautiful wedding at my favorite venue in Spokane, Washington, the Montvale Event Center. With its stunning chandeliers, warm lighting, hardwood ballroom floors, and brick accents, I am a huge fan of this vintage-feel venue.

This wedding was a perfect example of having a more “traditional” wedding, while keeping your wedding completely true to who you are. There were so many details that Adam and Samantha included for their wedding that made their day unique.

First Look and Bride and Groom Portraits

The Montvale Event Center has plenty of space for getting ready on your wedding day. Adam and Samantha decided to stay on site for their entire day, and there was no shortage of beautiful spaces within the venue for all of their photos.

A Few Details Worth Noting

A wedding trend that I am absolutely in love with – NEON SIGNS! They add so much to your reception space, especially if your wedding is later in the day. This is a piece of decor that you can continue to use in your home after your wedding is over, and it’s also a constant reminder of the best day ever.

A Candle-Lit Ceremony

I really loved all of the candles and soft light that was included on their wedding day. It added to the consistent romantic aura and vibe of the day. The petals with the candles among the aisle was a lovely touch as well.

Unity Shot

Something that I really loved to see was during their ceremony, when Adam and Samantha took a “unity shot”. Their shot of choice was huckleberry vodka and lemonade (yum!). If you know anything about the PNW, you know that huckleberries are kind of a big deal around here.

There are so many traditional ideas that you can include into your ceremony that fit the two of you as a couple, and this unity shot was a perfect fit for these two.

Personalized Beer Pong

One of the ways that they created a unique wedding experience was making a personalized beer pong table for their guests! I can honestly say I’ve never seen this done before, and I can’t get over what a genius idea it is. It gives your guests another activity to do during the reception, and a great photo-op for your photographer too. 😉 This is such a cool piece of decor and something that you can continue to use even after your wedding day.

Playing Cards for Their Guest Book

Another personal touch to their reception was using playing cards that matched their wedding aesthetic as their guest book. Each person or family could take a card and write their names, along with a special note for the bride and groom. Adam and Samantha love Las Vegas, so the playing cards totally matched their vibe.

Big Dance Floor + Good DJ = Great Party

Their dance floor was SUCH a good time! This reception had plenty of party people ready to dance the night away. Adam and Samantha specifically requested 2000s hip-hop for the majority of their playlist, and Matt from Soundwave Entertainment curated the perfect songs. I will also never turn down an invite to join in on the dance floor, in case you were wondering. 😉

Add a Photo Booth

Electric Photoland made an appearance during the reception and took so many fun photos for the guests! They include the entire set up for any event, including lots of props to choose from to show your personality in your photos. Fun for all ages!

Keep It True to You

Adam and Samantha’s wedding day was truly so much fun, and one of my favorite weddings to date. They kept the overall theme throughout their entire day, and had some incredible and unique ideas to include to keep it true to them. I loved the venue, the party, and the people. I can’t say thank you enough to these two for having me photograph their romantic wedding at the Montvale Event Center in Spokane, Washington. Congratulations again to Mr. and Mrs. Bayne!
