The Davenport Hotel is one of Spokane’s most historic locations, and for good reason. Built in 1914, this beautiful building remains a highlight for both tourists and locals alike. If you are looking for a venue with grand ballrooms, intricate architecture, and glittering chandeliers, then look no further. This Davenport Hotel engagement session is still one of my favorites to date.

Alyssa and Isaac knew that this hotel in the heart of Downtown Spokane was the perfect location for their engagement photos. They both wanted something romantic, intimate, and classy. Being Alyssa’s favorite film since childhood, The Phantom of the Opera was a big inspiration in bringing these photos to life. We made sure to include every aspect that gave you the feeling of watching a love story unfold.

Hall of the Doges

Hall of the Doges is an open ballroom space on an upper level in The Davenport. This area features multiple sparkling chandeliers (as most of the ballrooms do) and no lack of color.

Marie Antoinette Ballroom

The Marie Antoinette Ballroom is arguably the most iconic and well-known rooms within The Historic Davenport Hotel. This room includes a balcony that encircles the entire upper-half of the ballroom, and multiple crystal chandeliers, perfect for dancing the night away during your own session or event.

Elizabethan Room

During their engagement session, we stopped in the Elizabethan Room. In this space, the lights were off, so I was really able to play with silhouette images and show off some of these stunning arched windows.

Isabella Ballroom

This room, in my opinion, the best for last. I absolutely LOVE the Isabella Ballroom at The Davenport. We made sure to focus the most on this room during their session. The Isabella Ballroom even features a piano in the corner and full-length mirrors within the room (The Phantom of the Opera, anyone?). The gold accents and romantic candle light are a highlight in this space.

These Davenport Hotel engagement photos with Alyssa and Isaac remain some of my favorite images to date. With a beautiful venue like this one, with endless spaces for creativity, it’s one of the most gorgeous places to be photographed in.
